20 Guest Dinner by Chef Robert Irvine Will be Auctioned at Veggie U Food & Wine Celebration

MILAN, Ohio (June 30th) Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine, star of Food Network’s popular Dinner Impossible and Restaurant Impossible Series, will offer a dinner for 20 at the Culinary Vegetable Institute as an auction item at the 9th Annual Veggie U Food and Wine event! This is the only private dinner in the Ohio valley Chef Irvine will prepare all year.

The 5 course dinner includes a private tour of The Chef’s Garden by celebrity farmer, Lee Jones. Guests will enjoy a “down on the farm” experience of harvesting veggies for Chef Irvine to add to the dinner menu!

While waiting for Chef to incorporate your veggies into the dinner menu, guests will sip champagne and watch Chef and his sous chef prepare a true “Earth to Table” feast for your dining enjoyment!.

The 9th Annual Veggie U Food & Wine Celebration takes place July 16th on the beautiful grounds of The Culinary Vegetable Institute in Milan, Ohio. Tickets are still available for this star studded event. Discounts are available for groups.

Culinary giants including Chef Aaron Sanchez (Food Network) and Chef Amanda Freitag (Food Network) will duo on the demo stage following a “hot topic” discussion with Chipotle chairman, Steve Ells, Author Ruth Reichl, Chef Jonathon Sawyer of The Greenhouse Tavern, and Farmer Lee Jones. There will be a drawing for a Vita-Mix Blender at 5:55pm sharp!

The final stage demo begins at 8pm starring Chef Govind Armstrong and Jeni Britton Bauer (of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams) who will reinvent America’s favorite dishes.

The live auction will take place on stage at 7:15 and will offer up items such as an African Safari, Robert Irvine’s private dinner for 20, a private dinner for 10 by Chef Lee Anne Wong, a rooftop party for 40 at The Greenhouse Tavern, a 4 night stay at a gorgeous house in Saint Thomas, 2 passes to a taping of Iron Chef America plus accommodations at The Hudson Hotel in NYC, a 3 night stay at Stein Eriksen Lodge in UT including breakfasts, a dinner for 2, and 3 day lift pass for 2 adults at Deer Valley Resort. For those looking for VIP treatment, tickets are available to an exclusive Pre-Party, which begins at 4pm inside The Culinary Vegetable Institute. All of the celebrities will be there to mingle with the guests.  A culinary demonstration by Chef Lee Anne Wong, Chef Jonathon Sawyer and Chef Greg Grossman will take place while guests nibble and sip champagne.  Every guest will receive complimentary books authored by Jeni Britton Bauer and Chef Govind Armstrong and have the opportunity to bid on an exclusive live auction item featured at the event.

About Veggie U Food & Wine Celebration

This 9th annual fundraiser will support the placement of Veggie U “Earth to Table” Science kits in 4th grade and special needs classrooms nationwide.  This event is Veggie U’s only major fundraiser of the year.

The nation’s best chefs and celebrities donate their time and talent to draw a crowd of nearly 1,000 people.  The event takes place on the grounds of The Culinary Vegetable Institute (Milan, Ohio) and is hosted by The Chef’s Garden (located in Huron, Ohio.)  The event generates revenue from sponsorship, an auction (live and silent) and by ticket sales. Additional donations are made directly to Veggie U by participating vendors.
