‘The Thrilling Adventures of Lil’ Bud and Mr. Pleomorph’ is a young adult fiction story that brings attention to the fact that people with special needs have been and continue to be a tremendous resource for our society. The object of my story is to provide all children, including those with special needs a unique super champion role model.
I wanted to reach out to everyone through a book series that shows the broader community that most all people even those with special needs have a desire to be loved, liked and made to feel important regardless of their special need, or disability just like everyone else. This book series gives an important message of social acceptance for all. It challenges the reader to look at others for what they posess inside their hearts rather than passing judgement for differences of physcial and mental appearances or deficiences.
The reader will meet Lil’ Bud alias Mircleboy, a child with cerebral palsy who is in a wheelchair, his best friend Andrew who has Asperger’s syndrome, Professor Bob who has schizophrenia and dylexia and Professor Bob’s creation Mr. Pleomorph a robot who is the worlds most brillant and fastest computer.
Mr. Pleomorph is able to change its shape and visability. This story is an imaginary exciting adventure, a new world right in front of all of our eyes waiting to be discovered.
